Chesapeake Bay Long Cruise

2023 CHESAPEAKE BAY CRUISE

The long awaited SCOO cruise to the Chesapeake Bay is coming up fast! Sign up soon for this voyage to one of the most beautiful and accommodating bodies of water on the Atlantic seaboard. The Bay is the largest estuary in the U.S., 200 miles long and up to 30 miles wide. Including tributaries, it contains 11,684 miles of shoreline. So a trip to the Chesapeake is always a taste of the possibilities for
future journeys!

SCOO will depart Oriental on Monday, May 15. We have scheduled about 3-4 weeks for the trip, planning to return home around June 9.
We’ll travel 4-5 days up the ICW to arrive in Portsmouth, Va., at the south end of the Bay. We’ll spend about 2 weeks sailing, exploring & visiting destinations in Virginia & Maryland, then travel 4-5 days in the ICW back to Oriental.
