good cheer and great food.

Since 2013 the annual SCOO Steak-out has been held on the navigable and well-protected Gideon Creek during the month of May. Whether you come by boat or by car, you are guaranteed the perfect steak.  This “Perfect Ribeye Steak Guarantee” is a sure thing because you cook it yourself!

Our supplier of the steaks ensures that each ribeye has just the right amount of marbling to give you a flavorful steak that is second to none.

This event is potluck; bring a favorite salad, vegetable, or dessert to share, as well as your own steak knife and tableware. Feel free to bring your own beverage. Bottled water will be provided.

Traditionally, happy hour begins at 4:30 and dinner at 5:30 PM. If you arrive by boat, call Charles at 919-920-1355 for a dock assignment and/or shuttle service any time for assistance.  If you wish to spend the night on your boat, let us know and we will provide breakfast for you the following morning.
